A Proud Father–Daughter–Operated Kennel

Our journey began with two Dobermans, Dab and Dax - beloved companions who unexpectedly became the foundation of AZDK. The truth is, we never set out to be breeders, but our passion for the European Doberman pushed us to learn, grow, and raise our standards year after year.

The early seasons were tough. Market learning curves and two devastating litter losses reshaped everything we believed about responsible breeding. Those experiences built the strict health and sanitation protocols, structured dam care, and indoor-raised philosophy we follow today.

Between 2019 and 2025, every litter taught us something new.

Especially when you think you've learned it all, you find out the hard way that there is still more to learn.

Today, AZDK produces healthy, genetically tested European Dobermans with proven champion lineage. Our dogs - Dax, Zelda, and She-Ra come from pedigrees known for structure, intelligence, and stability. Their offspring are ideal for family companionship, service-dog potential, personal or compound protection, and sport or conformation show prospects.

At the root of our program stands Sir Dax Mercado - the founding sire of AZDK. With a pedigree built from respected European lines such as Del Nasi, Tiby, and Kimbertals, blended with refined American versatility, Dax established the balanced structure, intelligence, stability, and family-friendly temperament that our bloodline is known for today.

In 2023, Princess Zelda of Arizona delivered our first fully prepared, successful litter - introducing elite European champion bloodlines from kennels like Sant Kreal, Del Nasi, and Pride of Russia into the AZDK program.

In 2025, She-Ra Princess of Arizona delivered a strong, healthy litter - further elevating AZDK with full European champion bloodlines from legendary kennels such as Del Nasi, Sant Kreal, and Pride of Russia.

Every dog is raised indoors, cared for daily, and lives on-site as a true member of our family.
